The main research theme that now we study in our Lab. are the following.


１．Design and evaluation of FES cycling

　We designed the attachment type FES cycling(lower limb muscle have been driven by electrical
　　　signal using external electric circuit)that are consist of driving unit and wheel chair. We can attach the cycling
　　　 unit easily to the conventional wheel chair.．


　　using these type FES cycling, patients will be able to do rehabilitation activities more and more.
　　moreover, patients can attach and release it easiliy and fast, to their own wheelchairwhich he usually use in daily life.

２．Ride position evaluation of Japanese city bicycle(MAMACHARI)


　We study about the optimum riding position(saddle height , handle bar height etc. ) of Japanese city bicycle(so called "Mamachari")
in order to minimize the knee joint moment(for instance, the Knee joint will not be painfull?? when the saddle height is relatively higher or lower??)
